The Assemblies of God, South Dakota has encouraged us to do a Missionettes and Rangers program. They have encouraged us to experiment to "find what works" with the children of Oglala and as a mission church with limited staff. Mato Yamni  for both boys and girls is based on the Rangers "Grizzly Trail".  The boys and girls will learn weapon safety, camping, outdoor survival skills and more.
Kid's club is based on the Fivefold Purpose of Missionettes.
1. To win boys and girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance.
2. To teach them to obey everything Jesus commanded us,
developing  boys and girls spiritually and mentally.
3.To provide encouragement, support, and accountability
4.To provide an environment for boys & girls to develop their gifts and abilities.
5.To acquaint them with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord.
The boys and girls  are learning that true Christianity is about learning to be more like Jesus everyday, making wise choices in our day to day lives, trusting God as the source of everything that we need and telling others about Jesus.
Occssional trips such as Storybook Island, Chucky Cheese, or camping are rewards for good attendance and learning the Bible .
Jadaa's parents gave their heart to Jesus almost 6 years ago.   She has  13 brothers & sisters. Camping in the beautiful Black Hills in August offered some first time experiences for the kids. Cold weather and rain stopped our plans of hanging  out at the pool so we went exploring and found a player piano, a Pizza Hut buffet and learned to play miniature golf. Just getting off the "REZ" is a rare treat for most of the kids.
Most of our children attend church on their own. Raena and her twin brother Stevie are two of our most faithful students. Raena rarely misses church, Mato Yamni or Kid's club. Kids Club
Only 5% of the Oglala Lakota Sioux claim  Jesus as their LORD and Savior.
